Scorion Unveils ScorionX5 at the NVMO 2026 Conference in Groningen

Unboxing Scorion X5 at the NVMO Conference

Scorion is bringing something special to the NVMO 2026 Conference in Groningen: the very first preview of the completely redesigned ScorionX5 platform.

Many of you already know that Scorion is continuously evolving. Over the past two years, however, our team has focused almost entirely on developing the next generation of the platform: ScorionX5. We are proud to officially showcase it for the first time during the NVMO conference.

What is the NVMO Conference?

According to the Dutch Association for Medical Education (NVMO), the 2026 conference is organized by Utrecht University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and centers around the theme:

“Future-proof education: towards a sustainable planet.”

The conference explores how the relationship between humans, animals, and the environment creates complex global challenges that require interdisciplinary collaboration. The program focuses on the role healthcare education can play in supporting a healthy and sustainable future.

Questions such as the following will take center stage:

* What does sustainability mean for healthcare education?
* How should educational programs adapt?
* What is needed to prepare future professionals?

We look forward to welcoming you in Groningen for NVMO 2026!

Meet the New X Version: ScorionX5

Many Scorion users are already familiar with the current Scorion experience. A few years ago, we rebuilt the front-end of the platform first, which means that most end users — primarily students — have already been working in the modernized environment for quite some time. Today, roughly 95% of all users already work within the X environment.

The remaining part was the most complex: the administrator environment and the Form Viewer, the core component responsible for displaying and managing assessment forms.

Administrators may represent a smaller user group, but they are among the most intensive users of the platform. Rebuilding this environment while Scorion remained fully operational was a major technical undertaking. You could compare it to rebuilding a moving train while passengers continue their journey uninterrupted.

A Fully Responsive Form Experience

One of the biggest innovations in ScorionX5 is the completely redesigned Form Viewer.

In the current version, forms use a fixed layout. That has advantages, since forms appear exactly the same on every device. The downside is that mobile users often need to scroll extensively.

The new Form Viewer introduces a fully responsive experience. Forms automatically adapt to the device being used, whether on desktop, tablet, or smartphone. The result is a cleaner, more intuitive, and significantly more user-friendly experience across all screen sizes.

Roadmap

So when will everything be ready?

We can confidently say that Scorion is truly “unpacking” at NVMO 2026, because there is already a great deal to demonstrate. Large parts of the new platform are completed, tested, and actively used internally by our own teams today. This is especially true for the administration environment, including user management and form management functionality.

The next major milestone is the transition of all form functionality into the new scalable architecture. Our current roadmap targets the end of 2026 for a fully production-ready ScorionX5 release.

We will soon launch a dedicated roadmap page where you can follow the ongoing development of ScorionX5 in real time.

But if you don’t want to wait until then, come visit us at NVMO 2026 in Groningen and experience it yourself.
